Online Colleges?

I took the semester off of college because my husband is a Marine & I expected us to be moving this April. Well, if people are familiar with the military, they say 1 thing & do another. Anyway we should be moving within the next year to go to his permanant duty station. I’m not sure exactly when or where. All we know now is within the next year & more than likely CA or NC. I don’t want to start school again & have to drop my classes & move. I was thinking about colleges online. That way it can go with me where ever I go and it would be really convenient. I’m undecided about my career. I know it’s the medical field though. I’m choosing between RN, Pharmacy or Physical Therapist. I want to take my basics such as math, science, psych, english for now. Then when we get where we are going, I will start a regular college where I can do my clinicals or hands-on classes I need to take. Does anybody know where I can find a decent online college/university?

  1. Stay away from the University of Phoenix Online-There are a lot of complaints galorehttp://uopsucks.com/
Try the American Military University / American Public University instead – They re both accredited, please check the website to see if they have a course offering that interests youhttp://www.apus.edu/index.htmhttp://www.amu.apus.edu/index.htmhttp://www.apu.apus.edu/index.htm
Both schools are open to military and civilian students.

  2. You are expected to take your science prereqs at a regular school. There are no accredited online schools for health care programs. Some schools do not accept credit for online programs.

  3. Make sure they are real colleges. Not like The University of Phoenix or some other scam.
Try talking to schools in california or north carolina and explain your situation.
