I’m currently in my pre-pharmacy years, and I’d like to become a nuclear pharmacist. I’m not sure how to go about doing that though…..do they go to regular pharmacy schools, graduate, then get their “nuclear pharmacy” license from an institute of higher learning or do they just go to a “nuclear pharmacy” school and not a regular one…..cant find any info online about this. So I’m assuming they go to a regular pharmacy school first……

I’m Thinking Of Going Back To School To Become A Pharmacist?
I spent 6 years in college getting a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science. I’m really starting to loathe it, and really don’t feel like I have the “passion” for programming that my colleagues have. I simply hate sitting in front of a computer at work all day.
I was thinking of going back to school to become a Pharmacist. I had quite a few questions, though:
* My local pharmacy school isn’t ranked all that well in national rankings — tied for 27th out of 36 ranked by US News & World Report. Will that be a big problem in finding a good job?
* If I want to “test the waters” by becoming a pharmacy tech, will I need a special degree?
* Is this an expanding field, or is the demand for pharmacists decreasing with online prescription sites?
* Do any major pharmacies or stores with pharmacies offer some sort of tuition reimbursement for becoming a pharmacist?
* What exactly does the job *entail* at a place like CVS or Walgreens?

Guide To Become A Pharmacy Tech, Tx?
What I’ve been looking at all day is a whole bunch of adds from online schools and a bunch of not-so-helpful websites that don’t tell me what i need to do to become a pharmacy tech in tx. This is what I’ve got so far:
1) I don’t have to go to a school. i can study on my own
2) I need to take the PCTB to get certified nationally, then
3) I need to register with the TSBP to become registered.
What I don’t understand is: when I go to the website for the PCTB website I can’t register :
1- because it’s not the right time?
2- i need a certification number?
3- i need a authorization to test letter? (and if this is the
problem, how do i get one because i don’t plan
on attending a school?)
thanks for your help-

I Am Thinking Of Going To School To Become A Pharmacist?
My plan is to enroll for summer quarter and attend on campus. I’m curious though, would a pharmacy school accept a student who achieves an online B.S. ? I have 3 children and already have someone who would watch them while attending school but sometimes isn’t dependable with no fault of her own and I don’t want to miss any classes.

How To Become A Pharmacy Tech?
I’m trying to become a Pharmacy Tech. I was going to go the route of getting a job in a pharmacy like Walgreens or CVS and letting them pay for me to become one, but so far I haven’t got a call from any of them so. I guess I have to get it on my own. What’s the best way become one? Studying myself and if so what to study? OR taking a class… online or what? If online, which is the best? Thanks
