This is my fathers case….he has cirrhosis of the liver, and primary liver cancer from hepitis B(from a blood transfusion) that has spread covering his entire liver, and spreading to the lymphnoids. HE has undergone the radiation, and has taken a chemo pills, and his amonia levels were drasically high, but are now controled with a medication called lactolose.
He was just taken to the hospital because he was very disoriented, and sleep most of the day (18+hrs). HE is currently admitted and the just told him he has pneumonia.
My question is this.. What do you think his chances are that he can beat the pneumonia? Usually once a perosn has a serviere illness and then they get pneumonia it doesn’t look so great. His body is very weak right now, and I can really use all the advise i can get.

Cancer And Liver Failure?
my mom has stage iv breast cancer which has basically been taking over her body for the past 7 years. currently they have given up on treatment and we have been told that her liver is failing. she was in the hospital for a week and has just been released because she wanted to be at home. she is only on mild pain medication to keep her comfortable. how long should she be expected to live in such disrepair?

I Have Patchy Infiltration Of The Liver.. Does This Mean I Have Liver Cancer?
Really worried.. I had an ultrasound due to my ulcer attacks, anyways.. the medication work.. but by accident my ultrasound found that my liver is..
“normal in size and shows areas of increased parenchynal echopattern. No solid or cystic mass seen. Intra and extrahepatic ducts are not dilated.”
conclusion “patchy infiltration of the liver.”
My doctor said I should take a blood test, anyways.. since I am online, I felt like asking here for what this means… I guess it has got me really worried.. since liver cancer has no cure at all.. 
please explain to me in english.. coz I really dont get doctor terms..

What does “fatal liver disease” mean on a TV commercial on a certain medication?
On a TV Commercial, when they advertise about a certain drug and its side effect being one of them as “fatal liver disease”, does it mean, you’ll die from liver cancer or scirrosis?
Then, why take the drug? Then, why did my doctor prescribe it?

She also has hep c and cirrosis of the liver and refuses to go go on any medications or do any treatments. I wanna know how long she has without doing this??
