We had a big storm in IL and the power is out at the local CVS drugstore. My mom needs a prescription that she has run out of; she gets nauseous and has insomnia withdrawal symptoms if she doesn’t take it. I tried looking online to find a number but I missed something I guess…so where do I call to try to get her medicine?

If A Vet. Does Not Have A Specific Rx In Its Pharmacy, They Can Still Give My Cat A Prescription For It, No?
Ok my family’s new cat has fleas, I have tried a few prescription strength and OTC flea medicines for our cats but the only one that has worked and continued to work is Revolution for Cats. I have a lady friend that works as a veterinary assistant and I asked her if I could bring in my cat to complete the charade so I can buy more Revolution legitimately now since the online pet drug site I used to just get it from shipped from overseas also requires a prescription for it just like all the RL pet pharmacies would. The problem is she says her place doesn’t have Revolution, but I can’t see why they can’t just look at the cat and write a prescription for Revolution anyway and leave the rest to me. Just because a certain place writes you a pet prescription does not require you to fill it with them, or is this some stubborn veterinary practice?!

University Of Santo Thomas’ Pharmacy Curriculum?
Does anyone know where, online, can I find the curriculum for UST’s B.S. in Biochemistry and B.S. in Medical Technology. I looked on their website and googled the **** out of it to no avail.
If not specifically UST’s curriculum then I don’t mind being directed to a similar curriculum as long as it is a school in the Philippines. (I would assume that all their curriculum’s would be somewhat similar)

Can The Jcpenney Card Be Used @ Cvs Pharmacy?
It says on the back of the card that it can be used there, but I have an old card. I also noticed it’s not an option on CVS online shopping..Any ideas?

Did Anyone Have Their Prevacid Mixed At A Compound Pharmacy?
Went to the ped today and they switched from zantac to prevacid and I heard it seems to work better ( my daughter is 4 weeks old). I went to my regular pharmacy and they said because it was a suspension it had to be compounded. SO i found one that did it and it has to be refrigerated. I read online that it should only last 14 days and then the symtoms come back but the bottle says it is a 30 day dose. Anyone else using this and is it working ok? The ped also told me to add rice cereal to her formula and wanted me to try nestle good start (currently on isomil). Does anyone else use this formula?

How Much Should I Expect To Make As A Pharmacy Technician In San Jose, Ca With 8 Years Inpatient Experience?
I’m moving to San Jose this summer. By the time I move, I will have 8 years experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy. I am also nationally certified now. What is a reasonable amount to ask for when filling out applications? Right now I live in Mississippi and am only making about $12.50 an hour after adding my shift differential. Everywhere I have looked online has given me a different amount ranging from $8 an hour to $72,000 a year. I assume neither is correct. If anyone has any suggestions on what is a fair amount to ask, I would be very grateful.

Guide To Become A Pharmacy Tech, Tx?
What I’ve been looking at all day is a whole bunch of adds from online schools and a bunch of not-so-helpful websites that don’t tell me what i need to do to become a pharmacy tech in tx. This is what I’ve got so far:
1) I don’t have to go to a school. i can study on my own
2) I need to take the PCTB to get certified nationally, then
3) I need to register with the TSBP to become registered.
What I don’t understand is: when I go to the website for the PCTB website I can’t register :
1- because it’s not the right time?
2- i need a certification number?
3- i need a authorization to test letter? (and if this is the
problem, how do i get one because i don’t plan
on attending a school?)
