I have a 12 year old german shepard/ akita/ rottweiler who is continually having coughing fits. About a month ago I took her to the vet with a 104 degree temperature and he prescribed me 2 rounds of clavomox. When she was on the medication she seemed to be doing better. However, she’s finished the medication a few weeks ago and beginning to cough until the point of nearly throwing up or throwing up, depending upon if she’s eaten anything within in the last hour or so.
I have no idea what to do other than worry that she may have cancer.

My Dog, A 9 Yo Labrador Has Cancer Mast Cell Type Iii, He Has Been Put On Several Meds.?
He has just had surgery, the last one he will be able to have as the cancer is seated in the chest wall.. it has NOT spread to the organs… yet.. I have him on a supplemental program with a high protein diet and he is also taking antihistamines as this cancer is caused by histamines… the vet put him on Rimadyl 75mg 2x daily.. he is also an epileptic..so he takes phenobarbitol 2x daily… vet also added thyroxin to help him heal more normally…. I am living on disability so my finances are very tight… but I love this dog so… he is my best friend and my companion… Is there hope that he may get stronger with the immune system boosters… and the antihistamines may stave off the spread of this diabolical killer… I am just so heartbroken and am keeping a strong positive front around my sweet friend… Is it the cancer that will eventually take him from me or all these medications…. I have heard that Rimadyl is extremely hard on the system…
