Guide To Become A Pharmacy Tech, Tx?
What I’ve been looking at all day is a whole bunch of adds from online schools and a bunch of not-so-helpful websites that don’t tell me what i need to do to become a pharmacy tech in tx. This is what I’ve got so far:
1) I don’t have to go to a school. i can study on my own
2) I need to take the PCTB to get certified nationally, then
3) I need to register with the TSBP to become registered.
What I don’t understand is: when I go to the website for the PCTB website I can’t register :
1- because it’s not the right time?
2- i need a certification number?
3- i need a authorization to test letter? (and if this is the
problem, how do i get one because i don’t plan
on attending a school?)

Radiology Technician / Sonographer / Pharmacy Tech. / Hospitality, Hotel management…. ? CAREER CHOICES?
These are some career choices that spark my interest.
I plan to go to college online because I am sick with Lupus & get tired and sick easily.. I’m going to be 18 next month and i’m starting my senior year of highschool and I have no idea how to plan college, so i need help.
Could someone help me become more informed about these career chouces?
how do i become these things, what is a good online college, whats the salary, and the duties.. anything would help me make the right choice.

Pharmacy Tech Training?
I’ve been thinking about wanting to get started in the pharmacy technician profession. Unfortunately there are a few problems . . .
1. The pharmacies that have advertised opening for pharm techs either want an experienced tech or a certified (CPhT) tech.
2. Unfortunately, the community college I attend don’t offer any pharm tech programs.
I’ve already applied online to CVS and Walgreens for a pharm tech job, but unfortunately I’ve never heard back from those companies.
Am I going to have to have to relocate to another city in which there is a program offered to train and certify potential pharm tech students?

Pharmacy Tech Questions.?
Well I have been searching online for days now and here are my arsenal of questions: Can I just get study materials and pass the National Exam to be a tech? Also what exact curriculum do I take at a community college to become an actual pharmacist? EX: Biology with specialty in Pharmacology. It’s just an example. The way I see it is while I get experience as a Pharmacy Tech, I go to school to be an actual pharmacist. I need to know the exact curriculum to see if they offer it at my community college

What Do I Have To Do In Order To Obtain A Pharmacy Tech Certificate?
I live in Chicago and I’ve been thinking about becoming a pharmacy technician (for now until I’m done with school). I read that you don’t actually need to attend classes that you can actually take a test called the PTCB…Is it true?? Do I need a high school diploma or GED?? Do I take the test online?? Is it tough getting a job as a pharmacy tech?? Please give me details about it!!

Will Taking The Pharmacy Tech Course Make Becoming A Pharmacist Easier?
Right now I’m looking into going to school to be a Pharmacy Tech so I can get a shoe in the door since I eventually would like to become a Pharmacist. I keep reading online that in order to get into a Pharmacy School you need to take as many math and science and chemistry classes as you can in high school. Well, A) I didn’t do traditional high school so I didn’t have the opportunity to take these classes and B) I had no idea what I wanted to go to school for up until recently. So will doing the Pharmacy Tech thing now actually help me get to my goal or will I be stuck as a techy?
